
Tommy Alegre
Tommy Alegre is a talented pianist who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and resides in Geneva, Swtizerland. His favorite musicians are as varied as his musical abilities. He is influenced by his share of classical composers such as Mozart, Chopin, Vivaldi, Bach, Schubert, Paganini, Stravinski, Johann Strauss II. He is also a huge fan of different types of jazz including Miles Davis, Billy Cobham, Chick Corea, Diana Krall and Buddy Rich. Of course he enjoys a good amount of contemporary pop and rock music such as JohnLennon, Paul McCartney, The Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Jeff Beck, Brian Setzer, Eagles, Carlos Santana, Emerson Lake and Palmer and Gentle Giant. But he is most enamored by the rich and haunting vocals of our own Miss Karen Carpenter.

Tommy has recorded an outstanding medley of Carpenters hits and it is very easy to hear how much he has been influenced by Richard Carpenter.

Tommy is an absolute fantastic musician and a genuinely humble person.
Tommy had a successful piano performance in Lugano, Italy, in late June.
On Wednesday, August 21, he will be performing the following selections in his home town of Buenos Aires at the renowned, “Mozarteum -Argentino” concert hall:

Franz Schubert (1797-1828):
Impromptus D. 935, op. post. 142
No. 1 in F minor: Allegro moderato
No. 2 in A flat major: Allegretto – Trio
No. 3 in B flat major: Thema. Andante – Var. IV
No. 4 in F minor: Allegro scherzando

Tommy Alegre – Piano Recital at the Mozarteum-Argentino
On August 21, 2013, Tommy Alegre performed to an appreciative audience when he was the featured pianist in his beloved home town of Buenos Aires, at the renowned, “Mozarteum-Argentino” concert hall. At the young age of 20, Tommy has received reviews that applaud his maturity and interpretation of the great masters, such as Beethoven, Shubert, and Liszt.
