Those Good Old Dreams (1981)

Written by John Bettis and Richard Carpenter, “Those Good Old Dreams”, was Carpenters’ 30th single (that’s if you count the Christmas singles). The song was not a huge hit, the song only reached #63 in the US and did not chart anywhere else in the world. Regardless the song contains the same charm as earlier Carpenters recordings such as “Top Of The World” and the same warmth as found in songs like “For All We Know”.

It’s one of my very favorites of Karen’s songs. It is so happy and upbeat even in all she was going through.
