Christmas Portrait 2013

Greetings Everyone,

The Christmas season will soon be upon us, and we all know what this means for Carpenters fans. On radio stations around the world, we’ll be hearing the joyful songs of “Merry Christmas Darling”, and “(There’s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays”.

Last year, we worked together as a team, and helped move the Carpenters “Christmas Portrait” CD from a starting position of #126 from 2011, to a new peak position of #114 in 2012 on the Billboard 200 album sales chart. Are we ready for the challenge of moving the album into the “Top 100” list this year?  I believe we can do this.  But it will take every die-hard Carpenters fan to get involved.

What each of us has to do is simply purchase a new “Christmas Portrait” CD or MP3 download, and then we should encourage our friends and family to buy it, too.

To keep track of “Christmas Portrait’s” chart movement, Irene Economou has designed a Christmas Tree in which each week we will add an ornament listing the album’s chart position for that week.  She also designed a “Santa’s Nice List” in which we will add the names of people who purchase a brand spankin’ new “Christmas Portrait” CD or MP3 download. See below for information on how to get your name on the list.

To make your purchase at Amazon.com, just follow the easy steps below:

1. To purchase a CD Album, click through to Amazon.com from the “CD Album Link” listed below.

2. If you are buying a CD Album, it MUST be a brand new CD from Amazon.com in order to be counted towards the Nielsen SoundScan sales, which feeds into the Billboard calculation. It cannot be purchased used or through one of their third party vendors. Right now, the current Amazon.com price is listed at $13.92.

3. To purchase the MP3 download, click on the “MP3 Link” listed below and purchase the entire MP3 Album.

4. When you are ready to complete the transaction for either the CD Album or MP3 Download, simply go to the right side of the Amazon.com page, click on either “Add to Cart” or “1-Click order”, and complete your sale.

You can also purchase the “Christmas Portrait” CD brand new at any retailer such as Best Buy, Walmart, Target or any local store carrying it. This purchase will also get the CD on the charts.
